This acrylic-on-wood piece evokes a mind caught in tension with itself. Two stacked, rounded rectangles are held within a thin yellow boundary that feels like a fragile line of protection, an intentional barrier trying to keep something darker at bay.
The upper form is heavy, layered with thick, restless textures. Below, a vivid red field churns with chaotic energy.
Together, the composition captures the struggle of pulling away from destructive impulses. The yellow outline becomes a quiet act of resistance, a boundary of awareness and control, holding firm against the pull into darkness.
The painting is on wood, measures 91 x 122 cm with a depth of 50mm. The piece comes unframed but please get in touch if you’d like it boxed framed.
